Installation Technology
Cold shrink kits utilize an elastomeric sleeve that is pre-expanded on a removable plastic spiral core. During installation:
1. The joint or termination body is positioned over the cable connection.
1. The spiral core is gently pulled out.
1. As the core is removed, the sleeve contracts, forming a tight, uniform seal over the cable and accessories.
This method ensures consistent shrinkage, no air gaps, and optimal environmental protection without requiring external tools, heating equipment, or adhesives.
